What He Told His Wife After His Third Business Failure…

I know I left you hanging on my previous post, but it was getting a bit long. There’s just so much incredible revelation to share with you, that it’s impossible to get it all in one blog post.

For example, one of Peter Daniels’ secrets that he casually mentioned to me is something I’ve never heard anyone else say, and yet it was something so vital, that Peter Daniels would set aside at least one day a week to tap into its power.

As important a role as prayer played in his life, this habit was something that intersected with his prayer life but tapped into a capacity we all have, but few really take advantage of.

Combining that habit with his prayer life and basic business practices, helped him become one of the most influential men in Australia and sought out by world leaders in government, business and even the arts.

Back to what I promised you last time… I was going to tell you what Peter Daniels said to his wife after his third business failure.

Think about it… Three business failures in a row?!?!?!

Most people who venture into business and fail, would get a job and never try again. But he tried THREE times and failed, with the last one being his biggest loss.

In utter desperation, he laid spread-eagle on the damp concrete floor of his factory, which he was about to lose to creditors where he wept and cried.

“Lord, I thought you wanted me to succeed and give to the propagation of the gospel around the world. I have tried hard and worked diligently. I have always endeavored first to practice the principles in Your Word, but here I am, Your servant, telling You I am so low that I could ‘walk under a snake’s belly with an umbrella up and not even scratch its navel.’ What has happened?”

He stayed on the floor for some time, until quite miraculously he felt his prayers were answered and he knew his apprenticeship was over. He had a deep assurance that all would be well.

With repossession notices on everything he owned, he took his wife Robina to a hillside lookout in Australia called Windy Point, where he could look over the city and literally see the rooftops of thousands of houses.

As he looked across the vastness of the city, it hit him like lightning. He told her… My problem is that I’ve been thinking too small! I’m going into the real estate business.”

You see, Peter had a two-part goal… One part was to see how much money one person could give away in a lifetime and the other part was to create a Christian impact that would change the world for 300 years.

That was going to require thinking on a much bigger level.
