The Time to Work is Now, While it is Day

Did you know that the Father wanted Jesus to learn obedience that He might become the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him? (Hebrews 5:8)

In fact, in Luke 2:49, we see that Jesus, from a young age was keen to be about His Father’s business, but he needed to learn before He was ready to fulfill His calling.

Then in Luke 2:52 we see that Jesus continued to “INCREASE IN WISDOM and stature, and in favor with God and men“. He had to learn from His Father and grow into His calling.

If Jesus needed to increase in wisdom and learn from His Father, so that He might fulfill what He was sent to do, isn’t it reasonable to think that we also (and even more so) need to learn from Him as well?

Jesus said, “the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.” (John 5:19) Why would we think, we can figure it out ourselves?

Jesus learned from the Father and emulated His ways, and was able to bring us eternal salvation.

Why was this so important to Jesus?

He knew He had a mission. He said, “I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work.” (John 9:4)

So how about you? Do you have a mission?

What seed or dream do you have that needs to be planted, watered, nurtured and brought to maturity?

What is your learning plan? Who are you listening to on any consistent level? What are you deliberately studying and applying to help you fulfill the work He gave you to do? (Ephesians 3:10)

The time to work is now, while it is day.

If God has you in the marketplace with a business or perhaps you’re in a sales career that needs to reach new heights, it would be very important and helpful to learn from His Word and His creation, how to prosper in that work.

Did God not say in Isaiah 48:17, “I am the Lord your God, Who teaches you to profit, Who leads you by the way you should go.”?

Is it not true that we are instructed to “remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.”?

Did He not explicitly say in Joshua 1:8 “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”?

I have spent more than 40 years pursuing God, seeking His wisdom and applying His Word to sales and business. And besides writing over 20 books and creating multiple courses, I am offering to not only make that content available to you, but to also coach, mentor and mastermind with you.
