God has secrets and He shares them with those who fear Him. (Ps 25:14)
But what does that mean?
Well first of all, the word for secrets is the Hebrew word “sod” (pronounced “sood” and rhymes with “wood”). It’s considered the highest of four levels of Biblical interpretation.
The first three levels refer to the literal level, the hint or allegory level and the deeper, moral of the story level connected by other supporting Scriptures that increase understanding.
But the “sod” level is reserved for those who fear the Lord. Think of it like this… My friend Peter J. Daniels, one of the most successful businessmen in Australia has shared lots of insights with me over the years, but in recent times, he has taken me “behind the curtain” so to speak and told me things he never shares publicly.
For example, he tells audiences that he has read 5000 biographies which is quite impressive, but recently, he told me HOW he was able to read so many books and retain so much information. The HOW part of the equation is something he doesn’t share with the general public. (By the way, he just gave me permission to make his entire library of books available for FREE to all my members of the Jesus School of Business!)
There are things God doesn’t share with all His children. He waits until they are ready. In John 16:12, Jesus said, “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now.”
And furthermore, He may not trust you yet. That’s what John 2:24 says… “But Jesus did not trust himself unto them, for that he knew all men,” There are plenty of believers who Jesus loves, but He’s not ready to trust them with many things yet.
If you want to know the secrets of the Lord, be sure to deeply root yourself in the fear of the Lord, which is not the same as loving God, although they should go hand in hand.
So yesterday, I was recording a lesson on God’s Divine Blueprint for Success in Life, based on the teaching series God’s Best Kept Secrets found in the Jesus School of Business. Just as I got to the part about the fear of the Lord, as if on perfect cue, God blasted from Heaven, and even though I was indoors, the noise was loud enough to be picked up clearly on this video.
The importance of the subject compelled me to make this YouTube “short” so you could see and hear what happened yesterday. For me, it was profound. Let the message sink in…
