2025 – The END of FRACTIONAL GROWTH!

Milk is for babies. So is fractional growth for your business.

Fractional growth is where you set a percentage goal for increase. Perhaps 10%, 20%, maybe even 30% if you feel particularly confident.

Multiplication and exponential growth is not meant to be an anomaly. It’s the way God planned it from the beginning. Remember the first words God ever spoke to man… “Be fruitful and multiply, fill the earth and subdue it.”

Think of fruitfulness as your starting point. That’s the milky, nurturing stage. And that is where so many people stop.

They’re experiencing fractional growth. It’s enough to sustain them, even be a small blessing to others on occasion, but they’re still like the child learning to ride their bike who depends on training wheels.

You get by, but not far, and not very fast.

In Scripture, one of the threefold progressions we find is the milk of the word, the bread of the word and the meat of the word. In practice, the milk of the word is essential for getting started and having a measure of fruitfulness. The bread of the word is more substantive. In point of fact, Jesus said He is the bread of life.

When you transition from the milk of the word, to the living bread of the Word, you enter the realm where multiplication is now possible. Instead of 20% growth, you think of doubling, tripling or even 10X growth.

And perhaps I should stop there because there are so few who can grasp and believe for multiplication despite that being the universal law of nature. After all, when you plant a seed, it doesn’t come up as a plant with just one seed on it, but maybe 20% bigger.

Seeds MULTIPLY!

A single kernel of wheat can produce 50 – 100 kernels when it grows up. A single kernel of corn can produce 1 – 2 ears of corn, each with 400 – 600 kernels.

And yet you want to think in terms of fractional growth?

Why?

I submit that on the surface, the answer is because that’s the way everyone else does it. And that’s called the “tyranny of the status quo”. It’s the unspoken pressure that comes from the expectation to fit in, to be the same or at least similar. To not do much better than the norm because you’ll make them look or feel inferior.

But it’s time to be weaned off the milk. Make 2025 the year you get off the milk and step into the realm of multiplication.

I know a little about multiplication. In 2015, a struggling agency that once had 12 agents and was down to just 3, all of whom were looking for a job elsewhere, asked if I could help turn their sales around.

The owner was on the verge of shutting it all down. I agreed, but only if I had full freedom to lead the team the way I wanted.

So what I am saying is not theory. It’s very real.

And multiplication is not even the end game…

God told Adam to not just be fruitful, but to multiply AND fill the earth and subdue it! That’s exponential growth!

The natural example is the pomegranate seed… A single pomegranate seed can produce a tree that once mature can produce 200 – 1000 fruits annually, each with 200 – 1,400 seeds. A single pomegranate seed can potentially yield upwards to a million seeds in a single season! If all were planted and could grow, they would soon fill the earth!

There is so much to learn from the created order… but for now, grasp, believe and understand that God is into multiplication and exponential growth.

The milk of the word will produce a level of fruitfulness. Things like Proverbs 27:23, “Be diligent to know the state of your flocks, And attend to your herds;” Follow that advice and you will be fruitful.

The bread of the Word can yield multiplication. It takes you from tactics (i.e. diligence and hard work) to strategy and principles like the Moses Questioning Strategy, the Motivational Secrets of the Ten Commandments, etc. Learn and implement these Level Two strategies and you can experience multiplication.

Level three is the realm of exponential, fill the earth and subdue the market kind of growth. It goes beyond the natural physical activities (Level One – Outer Court) and through the wisdom and strategies of God (Level Two – Inner Court) and into the realm of the supernatural (Level Three – Holy of Holies). This is the meaty part of the word, where you learn how to operate in the realm of great faith in your business, where “nothing is impossible to him that believes”. (Mark 9:23)

The writer of Hebrews said it this way, “For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not strong meat. ¹³ For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. ¹⁴ But strong meat belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.” (Hebrews 5:12-14)

In the realm of business, these are men and women who have gotten very good at milk (fractional growth) and transitioned into a multiplication mindset, which by the way is not a matter of working 10X harder or even 10X smarter. (I’ll explain in a future blog.)

These are folks who are walking in a multiplication mindset, who by reason of use (actually doing and seeing that kind of result), can now see beyond that to the exponential, fill the earth kind of mindset (strong meat).
