I know what I’m about to tell you may sound strange, even unbelievable, but it happened this morning.
My wife Judy and I were reading John 6 and discussing it over coffee, before the hustle of the day kicked in. I had already read most of John 6 before she joined me, but wanted to share the experience with her, so started over.
I particularly wanted to discuss vs 29 that reads, “Jesus answered and said to them, ‘This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.’”
As I was about to read it aloud to her, the strangest thing happened that I don’t quite know how to describe… In an instant of time, I became suddenly and acutely aware of Jesus standing beside me.
This wasn’t a feeling. I could see Him.
It seemed like we were both somewhere else for that moment. The background I was seeing was not what my family room looks like. It was like I was looking through a veil. The colors and detail were somewhat muted, but very real.
In that same moment of surprise, my spirit leapt and I heard come out of my spirit something I never thought I would say… Not audibly, but in my spirit, I exclaimed with childlike exuberance “Hi Jesus!!!”
The joy was so real that my eyes got clouded over with a mist that may have resembled a tear 😊, and I turned to Judy and tried to tell her what had just happened.
I kept most of it inside because I wanted to process it, PLUS, I wanted to study the fully amplified translation of that passage, to get the most out of the meaning.
When I did, it read something like this… “The true work, the one essential task God requires and approves, is not a multitude of external labors or religious duties, but this: that you continually place your trust in, lean the full weight of your confidence upon, and entrust your life to the One whom He has sent forth with authority—Me, the express image of My Father in Heaven.”
It seemed to me that Jesus wanted to drive home the significance of that verse, which is why He stood beside me at that moment, as if to make sure I got it.
You see, for most of us, the hardest work we have, (but it should be the easiest) is to believe Him, to truly trust Him. Take a minute and think about that… Most of our belief is intellectual which may sound nice but accomplishes nothing.
Perhaps the best investment of your time would be to build up your faith and trust and confidence in Him, believing what He says about you, your calling and His willingness and plan to give you an incredible future, filled with hope.
That’s my goal for you inside the Jesus School of Business.
It’s not only equip you with Biblical marketplace skills and natural laws that model everything you need to start and grow a business, but to walk alongside you and help you experience the fulness of what God intends for you.
I was on a call today with a friend…
I told him how I had been in negotiations with a third party recently, but rather than approach this delicate negotiation with traditional posturing, my wife reminded me to utilize the Negotiating Secrets of Paul from the book of Philemon.
It went against all normal convention, but resulted in an outcome so favorable, that I am prevented by contract to relay any details. Suffice it to say, I have the highest regard for that third party!
Without revealing any names, numbers or details, I told this friend that as amazing as the result was, if members of my coaching group got that kind of result all the time, but didn’t grow in their connection with Jesus and learn how to really and truly trust Him as demonstrated by their actions and the fruit thereof, it would be all for naught.
Ever since that video of mine with 27 stories about hearing God went viral, God has been redirecting my steps and refocusing me on helping people get what they most want, which is a relationship with God that resembles what they read in Scripture.
That’s why I started offering Supernatural Business meetings on the first and third Thursday evening of each month. It’s free to attend and there’s no sales pitch or request for anything. I hope you can come on September 4th at 8 PM Eastern.
It’s to build your faith like perhaps nothing else you’ve seen in the context of marketplace realities that we all have to deal with. We’ve only had two meetings so far, but already thousands have either attended LIVE or caught the replay.
We’ve also had a number of inquiries about joining the Jesus School of Business. We shared that on a separate night where I also talked about Peanut Butter Faith. You can watch that here and have your faith built as well.
If you’re interested, there’s still time to enroll before our September classes start. Hope you can join us. Your life will never be the same!
So Good. Thank you. Jesus so wants us to Know that He is standing next to us 😇.
Yes He does. Thanks for commenting Ray!
Jn 6:29 – That’s the same verse I started with this morning! That our work of God is to believe in Jesus.
It reminded me that believing isn’t just giving mental assent to something. It’s taking action based on trusting God – His Logos Word (the Scriptures) and His Rhema Word (what His Spirit speaks to my spirit – Jn 6:63)
Amen Evelyn! Thank you for posting your comment!
