Want To Access The “Hidden Riches of Secret Places” For Your Business?

Want to make your business better? How about your sales performance? Here’s a clue for you found in Isaiah 45:3. God says to Cyrus, “I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places.” There has been a lot of speculation about just what this means, but I can tell you when it comes to business, the application is really simple.

It’s the process. The recipe. The formula.

Didn’t David say in Psalm 139:15, “My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in secret, and skillfully woven together in the depths of the earth”? We see the finished product, but God has the recipe. It’s formulated in secret. It’s hidden, but can be found. It’s the glory of God to conceal a matter and the glory of kings to search it out. (Proverbs 25:2)

It’s like Coca Cola. Some like it served warm. Others like it served over ice. Still others try to make it better by pouring it on top of ice cream to make a coke float. But none of those things alter the product. They don’t change its essence. Only its perception.

But George Washington Carver asked the Lord about the secret things and wanted to understand the mysteries of the universe. God directed his attention to the peanut. And he broke it down by its processes and components. Then he reformulated them and produced hundreds of new products that revolutionized the world we live in.

Here’s what that can mean for you…

Bearded Hipster Writes Formulas On A ChalkboardLook at your business like a peanut or even a Coke. Break it down into its core components, individual steps, etc. Find the bottlenecks, the slippage, the inefficiencies and then delete, add or modify what you see. Experiment with the formula.

For example, I am aware of a company that is experiencing mediocre performance. They don’t know what to change. The president knows we have to look at the process and the formula and make changes. My role is to help reformulate their process. In my prep for that work, I’ve done some experimenting and was able to triple the performance of one key step by making one change in the process. (I modified an ingredient.)

It’s like the guy that changed the wording in the headline of a weekly magazine ad that regularly generated about $50,000 worth of business. The headline read, “2/3 Financing on Gold & Silver Purchases”. He changed it to read, “If Gold is Selling For $300 an Ounce, Give us $100 an Ounce and We’ll Get You All the Gold You Want.” The details for the financing were in the body of the ad.

THAT AD, generated $250,000 in business each week!

FIVE TIMES the revenue from the previous ad! It was a change in the ingredients. Look at your business, your process, your sales and marketing materials and identify the weak spots, make the changes and keep doing so until you have the winning formula. If you need a little help with that, be sure to either contact my office or join our next launch of our business school. You can see a sneak peak of what’s in it here, but we are not accepting new enrollees just yet. Drop me an email or add your name to the list here, if you want to be notified when it’s coming online again.

Until next time, be fruitful and multiply!
