“I am the Lord your God who teaches you to profit…”
In Isaiah 48:17 we read that the Lord teaches us how to profit. But, as is the case with much of Scripture, there is more just beneath the surface.
The word translated at “teaches”, means to train, much like you would train a horse or a dog. That means it’s repetitive, focused and disciplined training with rewards for mastering the lesson.
The word “profit” in the original Hebrew is the word, “ya’al” as in “ya’ll come back now”. Actually, it means “to be valuable”.
The secret to wealth creation is being “trained” on the art of creating value, as perceived in the eyes of your customers and prospects.
