It Happened!

Almost two years ago to the day…

I wrote a blog explaining my relative absence from blogging. In case you don’t remember, it was to help a friend of mine with a new approach to an old industry.

I love teaching and speaking and writing, but I also love “doing” and putting into practice the amazing things I learn from God and His Word and even from His creation.  Well, after three years of dedicated effort, I’ve got some really big news. But first the background story…

In June of 2015, my friend was considering closing down his fledgling boutique, commercial real estate company. He has amazing talent and unflappable courage.

He had appointed a CEO and VP of Marketing to run the day-to-day operations, but it wasn’t working out. As I often do for clients, he asked me to come in and do my 3 day intensive analysis. At the end of that time, we agreed that there was a ton of potential, if he had different leadership.

That’s when he said, “What do you think would happen if for six months, you and I both worked together and came in every day to turn this around? I’ll manage the backend, and you focus on the frontend to turn around and build the sales team.”

I found the challenge too much to turn down. Six months later, the backend was great and the frontend sales team had quadrupled in size and the company was profitable. In fact, it had grown revenues by a factor of nearly tenfold.

So naturally, he asked me…

“What would happen if we did that again, only this time for a full year?” I was curious to see, so I agreed. By the end of 2016, revenues were up another 7 fold.

So, in 2017 we thought, maybe we could make history. Let’s try this thing for another year. By now, the company had grown to maybe 30 or so employees. Some really terrific agents. I had the privilege to lead a few of them to Christ as did one of the other agents. Revival broke out. The employees started a midweek Bible study and God’s hand seemed evident.

The idea of making the INC 5000 and especially the INC 500 for the fastest growing companies in America, was at first a tantalizing goal, but as the third qualifying year neared to a close, the entire company of (by this time), 50+ employees rallied together to get it done.

We finished the year at a breathtaking 11,359% three year growth rate. And, just yesterday, INC Magazine announced the fastest growing companies in America.

Out of 30,000,000 US based companies, we finished at #16.

In the field of real estate brokerages of which there are roughly 86,000, we finished at #1 in the country, with the fastest growth rate for a real estate brokerage in the history of the INC 5000.

It wasn’t easy.

There was plenty of pain in the process and mistakes were made along the way. As it says in Proverbs 14:4 “Where no oxen are, the trough is clean; But much increase comes by the strength of an ox.” In other words, with great increase, comes a trough that needs cleaning, but it beats having a clean trough and being broke.

I was able to teach my Supernatural Selling principles. Some agents stopped at level 1 (Outer Court). Several wanted to learn about Level 2 (Inner Court strategies) and even a couple ventured into the Level 3 (Holy of Holies) territory, which is where the seemingly miraculous occurs. I will be offering that program very soon and you can learn about it here, though it is not ready to accept registrations just yet.

My mission came to end with my friend…

At least in the formal, commuting to Tampa daily sort of way. I am now back focusing on creating a whole suite of my Biblically based training products which I will share with you very soon. Please understand, this won’t be your standard run of the mill, corporate training.

I believe in teaching what works and for me, I like to test out what I believe in the crucible of the rather unforgiving marketplace. This testing period is over. The goal accomplished is sweet, but nothing compared to the goal I have of transforming the marketplace through the influence and impact of Jesus Christ, and in so doing, bring many, many to Him.

The harvest is not next week, or next month, or in four months (John 4:35). The harvest is NOW, and I intend to bring many into the kingdom.
