I’ve got to tell you a story that just happened! It happens every time this strategy is used. You need to pay close attention because what I am about to share with you could easily save or earn you tens of thousands of dollars or more, but most people miss it.
Why do most people miss it? Because they would prefer to do business in the Outer Court (Level 1) where they can see and discern with their natural senses and reason. “Isn’t that what God gave us a brain for?” they reason. Sure. But He also gave you a Spirit that can receive things of the Spirit and do so much better than mere mental powers.
The story I am about to tell you plays out the same way every time. It’s just that so few people “get it”. I hope you can.
Here’s the setup…
My client is in the healthcare industry. Over the years he had obtained business loans for their care facilities from the State where the business is located. One of his loans was at 9% and his business was struggling under the weight of it all.
He had appealed to them for relief but that fell upon deaf ears because the loan was based on a bond that was sold at the high interest rate. There was nothing that could be done. Like an old mystery novel that I’ve read a hundred times before, I knew the script and I knew how to solve the problem.
My client was at the end of their rope with this one. It was time to throw the “hail Mary” pass so to speak. I was brought in to do one thing… write a letter to the State.
We met in his boardroom, began with prayer and then I opened up the book of Philemon. Verse by verse, point by point, I explained what I understood from the Holy Spirit about what and why Paul wrote what he wrote.
On each point, I asked the client, my friend, questions that would help me understand how we could construct a letter that followed the Philemon format but no one would know but us and God.
I know he thought it was novel, even strange but nothing else in recent years had gained them any concessions, so he participated willingly, but curiously. In the end, the letter was crafted and sent.
Then we waited…
Nervously. For two full weeks. Until today. When he received their surprising response. Not only could he pay off one of the loans with no penalty, but they would reduce the interest rate on the other loan to 3% (well below market rate)!
The letter indicated this would reduce his monthly payment by over $8,500 per month and save him nearly $1.5 million for the remaining time. He was astonished and grateful to the Lord, as was I.
But that is how it is supposed to work and does work. It is exactly what I teach in the MPI Christian Business Institute… Inner Court stuff! What is Inner Court stuff? Inner Court is Level 2.
