The number one fear that researchers in psychology, sociology, and behavioral economics consistently find, is that money-related uncertainty sits at the top of the worry hierarchy.
But Psalm 23:1 says “The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.”
Most people consider these words, comforting, that somehow God will eventually come through, if not in this lifetime, then certainly in the next. But that is not the point.
This statement is not a future hope… It’s a present reality. Ignore it at your own loss.
With God, lack is impossible.
You can no more threaten God’s ability to provide abundantly than you can drain the ocean with a straw. When David says, “I shall not want”, that was a declaration of reality, making lack for him, (as far as he was concerned), an impossibility.
The reason he knew that lack was not his portion was because the LORD Himself was his shepherd, leading him in the way he should go. The shepherd’s responsibility is not merely to keep the sheep alive. A good shepherd leads them to abundant green pastures and fresh water.
If you want to permanently eradicate fear of lack from your life, I invite you to learn why Jesus said to “Behold the birds”. The secrets they hold and model are mind blowing! But don’t just take my word for it, check out my new and soon to be best selling book, Free As A Bird – Living Worry-Free in God’s Abundance. (Scroll down to see the reviews!)
May you be truly blessed and filled today!
Pursuing Him,
Michael
