Critical Marketplace Conference on 9/11
By
September 3, 2009I am very excited to invite you to an important event being held next week, September 11-12 in High Point, NC at which I will be delivering two key note addresses.Ê It's called the Christians in the Marketplace Conference, sponsored by the Wisdom Training Institute of Evangel Word Ministries, Inc. The conference opens Friday night with Pastor Otis Lockett speaking passionately and powerfully on being Anointed for Business. I can hardly wait to hear him on that! Following him that evening, I will be sharing powerful strategies gleaned from the most productive, diverse and abundant ecosystem on the planet, the rainforest on how to survive, then thrive in our current economic environment.Ê The insights God has been giving me on this topic are fresh, powerful and life changing! It will also be the world premiere for what I believe to be the most powerful online learning and coaching tool on the planet. You won't want to miss it! On Saturday afternoon, I will be sharing on Biblical Laws of Promotion for Marketplace Success. ÊI have a fire burning in my bones and can't wait to release that word. Please make sure you bring anyone interested in taking back the gates of commerce for the kingdom of God. I especially want to invite 18 - 30 year olds to come. God has a word for you in this hour! I am honored to be invited to join Pastor Otis Lockett, Sr., and Julius Koonce at this strategic event for significantly strengthening and empowering marketplace warriors. Want to get in the game and win? Join us next week. Click here for registration details. Can't make this conference? Two weeks later, on Friday, September 25th at 10:00 AM, I will be speaking at the Biblical Entrepreneurship Conference, sponsored by Nehemiah Project International Ministries in Fort Washington, MD. I have been asked to speak on Abundant Thinking in the Midst of an Economic Crisis. I will be continuing that theme again on Saturday morning at 9:00 AM. Click here for details. Please plan on joining me at one or both of these events if you can. I look forward to meeting you there!

I pastor a small church. I began pastoring 5 months ago at the age of 57. I grew up in business. "Selling Among The Wolves" is one of the best church leadership studies I have encountered. Church is God's business and should be conducted accordingly. The principles you teach are critical to our walk. Fear is a choice and the antidote to fear is Faith. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word. Study the Word and fear will find no place to take root. Thanks for the the "Word."

Your words were peace to my heart today. Thank you.

Life is a workshop or laboratory - helping us become more like Jesus. God calls us to operate from a plumb line of righteousness - no matter the consequences. God has given us, His children, an inheritance of responsibilities, not harps, not golden slippers, and not a trip to eternal retirement in heaven. Our responsibility is to work in His business. As we assume and fulfill our God given responsibilities (obedience), God assumes His responsibilities (promises) and He has always been faithful in fulfilling His responsibilities as we obey. Michael, thanks for fulfilling one of your responsibilites, that being a Way Shower!

Good word Michael! It's true! I'm gonna do that! His faithfulness is truly amazing. And when he told Abraham, "Come on. Let's go!" There were good things in store for him in that land he'd never seen before. God is trustworthy as we walk forward into times we've never seen before.

Great to be refreshed after a hard day at work, blessing people with a new roof on their garage. My heart longs to obey Him. Appreciate the comments.

This reminder of yours to speak God's word out loud was something I needed today and was very encouraging.

At 1am in the morning and restless with the responsibility of a stressful job that consumes my days and nights, I found great comfort in your advise to "Feed On His Faithfulness". Between the job, raising 3-kids (2 teenagers), and nagging health issues, it seems I have more days than I care to mention that I simply want to hide under a rock from the world. Thanks for the uplifting thoughts!
Tim at 5:25am EDT - August 31, 2009
Tim; I know that feeling my brother. Keep looking forward and not back. You will come out of this even if it doesn't feel like it right now. Blessings, Michael

I'm trying to figure out how to not have so many e-mails back from this post. I love reading the original post, but I can't keep up with all the e-mails from each subsequent comment. Can you tell me how to stop them?
Barbara Lee at 3:23pm EDT - August 31, 2009
"We need to feed our faith and starve our unbelief" I needed to hear that. Now I need to apply it. Thanks
David at 6:16pm EDT - August 31, 2009
Barbara - Uncheck the box underneath the comment box when you post your comment.... but may I suggest you not be too quick to do so? Most of the time the comments add so much to what Michael posts and it's such a blessing to read them!
Lorisa at 8:24pm EDT - August 31, 2009
Amen, amen, amen!!!

Thanks for your daily encouraging words Michael. After losing my job last week, it is one of the bright spots in my day. I know God is faithful and better days are ahead, it just helpful to get a reminder once in awhile. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble. May His blessings be upon you and all of your readers today!
John at 6:40pm EDT - September 1, 2009

Hello - In any given situation, the most important thing is to hear God's voice giving you the solution. When I lost my business, our home and my health here in Canada due to 9/11, God told me it was not to be a bankruptcy. I was worried almost to death about what we owed(as I had high Blood pressure the doctors could not control) and stress over my head. God told me exactly what to write to Visa to get them off our necks, (about our credit card), the Labor Board to stop a class action law suit against us etc etc. One by one all our creditors backed off - now as I restart my business, I know whatever the way that opens, it is God's hand at work, so no worries and no stress -but faith in God alone........ and I only go forth listening to His voice alone.

This is in reply to Terry's statement where he said "Church is God's business". Church is not a business and should not be run as such! God's thoughts are not our thoughts and His ways not our ways. God has principles for how His services and how His church should be conducted but it is not the principles of the worlds business. God has order and harmony. You cannot compare worldy business with spiritual business! Two extreme opposites! We serve a Mighty. Awesome and Reverend God, where even the angels veil their faces when in the presence of God. When Moses went up the mountain God told him to take off his shoes because he was on holy ground! God's church is not a business and should not be conducted as such!
