But Dying in Your Beds, Many Years From Now... Time And Chance HAPPEN - Part 3 of A Bunch

"I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favor to men of skill; but time and chance happens to them all." (Ecc 9:11) In the last two blogs I addressed the idea of SPEED. The importance of being decisive and how important it is to quit putting into the future what belongs in the present. God will let you postpone your blessings and even your destiny for as long as you are willing to postpone them. It takes faith to bring the future into the present and it will take faith to maintain them. If you have the faith to bring the future into the present you have the strength of faith to sustain it. Things speed up dramatically for you when you pull the future into the present. Quit waiting for God to bless you and recognize that He has already blessed you with more than you can put your arms around now! His favor has already been released in your direction. As I have previously written, it is raining favors every day so quit praying for favors and start asking Him to show you where they are and how to step into them. One way quite frankly is to get mad. I know that doesn't seem very spiritual, but it can be. Have you had enough yet? At the end of Isaac's life he blessed Esau by saying... "By your sword you shall live and serve your brother, but the time will come when you will grow restive and break loose and take dominion, and tear his yoke off from your neck."  Have you grown restive yet? Are you mad yet? Have you had enough of barely making it? The other day a man told me about a friend of his who said, "I'm always going broke, but I never quite get there." Sadly, too many of us can relate to that, but it's time TODAY to put a stop to that. It's time to go to battle for your destiny. (1 Tim 1:18) Allow me to borrow from a famous quote... Aye, fight and you may lose. Run, and you'll survive... at least a while longer. But dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willing to trade ALL the days, from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance to come back here and confront your fears and step into the battle and actually live out what you say you believe and put it all on the line? You might lose your money, but you will never lose your reward. You might lose a battle here and there, but you will never again lose heart and more importantly, you will have found courage and honor and valor and love. Fear may have taken your past, but it will never again rob you of your future! It's time to move into your destiny. Just don't expect it to come without a battle and a few scars to show for it.

i heard a comedian on xm radio while travelling last night. he was poking fun of a kid in his gym class who had only one \"testicle\" and how it was the talk of the locker room. it was really funny. but with this quote it comes to me that - men, are made with two. the comedian said \"it just doesn't seem right, feel right.with just one\" (hillarious) and yet...in the Kingdom of God...it requires two..to follow Him...as a man. Thanks for your courage M Pink. Nofunmadeofyou in our gymclass :)

Great article, Michael. Just what I needed today to refocus my mental and physical energy where it needs to be. I truly appreciate all you do to keep us \"in the race\". Especially as I have lately been tempted to \"quit running\". I find that danger in my Christian life -- it's not that I want to go back to the old life-- it's that temptation to \"lose heart\" to \"run\" to the finish. Thank you for the encouragement to \"press towards the mark for the prize ....\"

I've recently been reading 1 Samuel...about Saul before and when he was first made king. He was a good guy. He was humble. What happened? Well what came up in my spirit is : Beginnings are important but how we end is more important. And how we end is simply the result of the sum of our decisions and attitudes in between.

Michael -- In the beginning of your 2nd paragraph, shouldn't you have written \"......pull the future into the present.\", not \".....pull the present into the future.\"? Keep your terrific blogs coming!
Tim at 8:30am EDT - May 22, 2009
Tim; You are absolutely right! Thanks for noticing that and letting me know. Blessings, Michael

It seems so eerie. My friend and I were talking earlier this week and I wondered if perhaps I had missed an opportunity sometime ago and was now runing around in \"Kadesh-barnea\". Then I opened my mail .... wow! Your post encourages me to step boldy into my future by faith and to shake off the tendency to procrastinate as well as listening to the voices of the naysayers. May God continue to bless you Michael.

This posting is a thing of beauty --- everyone that I am working with is confronted with this 'process' all day long!! Your timing is immaculate.

This thread in this series is just fantastic...so much so that I have a requet. Michael, I'm in the process of authoring a new blog titled Internet Review Authority. It's still in the Unpublished state, but it's coming along shortly. Question, would you allow me to copy and post part of today's Post, as long as I credit you and also Selling Among Wolves? I have enjoyed your blog for several years now, and intend on doing what I can to promote SAW within the framework of my new Blog. Additionally, I plan on a Affiliate connection as well with SAW as soon as I can get to it. Thanks, Bob Park
Bob Park at 10:34am EDT - May 22, 2009
Hi Bob; Absolutely. Feel free to do so anytime. Thank you for asking and for your support! I wish you the best in your new blog! Blessings, Michael

I don't quite understand Ricky's post. I have one testicle, having had cancer in the other one while a junior in high school in 1966. The chance of not making it was then 95%. Fortunately the Lord spared my life and I was honored by my fellow students for being a cancer survivor. I really do not see anything funny about only having one testicle. I serve the Lord that way and am still glad He spared me, as I was not serving Him at the time. So, sorry, I do not see the revelance in the post and certainly do not understand how that boy's situation was hilarious. Tom Shaw

This is indeed a timely post. We live in a NOW time. There' s such an urgency to press in for a greater manifestation of the kingdom of God. I've heard the clarion sound and I'm on the move. Wake up and Go Up, Believers!

YES SIR STRENGTH FOR FEAR ITS ABOUT T-O-D-A-Y, TODAY IS THE DAY OF SALVATION, I KNOW IN WHOM I HAVE BELIEVED... KEEP ON KEEPING ON MICHAEL. I AM STARTIN MY MORNINGS WITH DECLARING WHAT MY DESTINY IS OUT LOUD NOT FOR THE SAKE OF OTHERS BUT WHAT HE HAS SAID ABOUT ME I WANT TO DECLARE IT FROM THE HOUSE TOPS FOR ME... BECAUSE IF I DONT BELIEVE IT AND WALK IT MY ACTIONS WILL BE SO LOUD THEY WONT BE ABLE TO HEAR WHAT IM SAYING.

This is so true in every part of our live. On one of the monoliths outside the national archives is the saying, 'The price of liberty is eternal vigilance'. In the complex world that we have created this has never been so true. We must ally ourselves with those who think like us, because the battle is on too many fronts for one of us to maintain, economic, educational, spiritual. Like William Wallace we must rise in individual strength and then band together in corporate strength to face our common enemies. Great series Michael you are a profound analogous thinker.

Michael, These last 3 blogs are what I need to hear. I lost my job 3 weeks ago and am trying to find what God wants me to do next. I've been burned in the past for reacting to fast when things happened in my life. So now I want to be in step with God. I don't want to run in front or behind Him, I want to be next to Him stride for stride. So it's a balancing act, I pray Father that I feel your presence in my job quest. Once again thank you Michael!

Tom Shaw- I praise God for the miracle in your life! Just wanted you to know the comment you spoke of struck me as off, too. I am sure he meant no harm. Sometimes people just don't think about how their words may feel to someone else.
N Burns at 12:33am EDT - May 24, 2009
Thanks for your encouraging words Michael. We seem to be working long hours for little reward at times, and for me it is imperative to know that it is not the skill and talent we bring to the work that counts the most, but the faith ability to pull the kingdom of God into our sphere through portals of prayer and active obedience to the living word of God. Keeping it here is the real test. Bless all the bloggers here too! Love the faith level on this site. PTL.

Hi Tom Shaw; I don't get to monitor all the posts when they are posted but we do have a screening program which eliminates normally offensive language. However, I can see that the post from Ricky hit a tender spot with you. Understandably so. There are a number of things I used to think were funny - until they happened to me and I suspect Ricky feels very badly about this if he has seen your comment. I agree with N Burns that Ricky meant no harm. If he is who I think he is, he has posted many times before and has a zest for life and a love for God and his fellow man. I just wanted to acknowledge your posting and hopefully assure you, that no harm was meant and hopefully a lesson was learned. Blessings, Michael

Dear Michael, I guess I was over the top some in my response to Ricky. I had just come from the dentist (not good!) and my sugars were low when I read his post. I just replied without giving it much thought. Since Lance Armstrong came out and said he had had the same operation, it seems the subject of this has been much more out in the open. So, Ricky probably meant no harm by his remarks and I probably came across as being too harsh. I certainly have said things that I wish I could have taken back, but was too late. But keep up the great work, I love your blog!!! Tom Shaw
