This Can Be Your Best Year Ever!

"For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us." (2 Corinthians 1:20) I have been writing about the favor of God raining down on us in 2009. This will be an incredible year despite the biggest economic storm we have seen in our lifetime. But here's the really big news... You will miss it if you are passive about it. Faith requires action. Just because you are a Christian doesn't mean you will get in on the rain of favors falling from Heaven this year. All the promises of God are received with a "Yes!" and an "Amen!" A few years ago the pastor of the very small country church I attend in a cow pasture made the statement that he believed our new building, less than a year old, would be paid in full on the one year anniversary. When he said that, an "Amen!" popped out of my mouth before I knew what hit me. The pastor locked eyes with me and agreed with me with another "Amen!" I knew in that moment that our building would be paid off despite the fact there were only a couple dozen families in the fellowship and none of them above middle class. It would require over $50,000 in a single offering. On that first year anniversary there was an apple box you could drop your offering in if you thought of it because there was no formal taking of the offering. In fact, I never heard it mentioned after that one comment in the middle of his sermon many weeks before, but on that anniversary date, without any prompting or prodding from the pulpit the building was paid for in full! The kind of "Amen!" I got when the pastor mentioned he believed the building would be paid off on the anniversary date is the same kind of "Amen!" I have in my heart now for the rain of favors falling from Heaven. You can get in on it too if you wish. Our success is not contingent upon the state of our economy and God wants to show Himself strong in the midst of the calamity. Are you ready to be the vehicle through which He does this? Say "Yes!" and "Amen!" to His promises. Be specific and act on your belief. Don't just talk about it.

Yes! Amen! So Be It! And now as I have believed and see the end result with my spirit eyes, I let the rejoicing begin with joy which can't be expressed with mere words, a joy infused with the glory/power/anointing of God. Yes! Amen! So Be It!

YES, AMEN and HALLELUJAH! Okay--a bit over the top but it just bubbled up in me. I'm seeiing so many contrarian words coming out of the mouths of prophets these days--like Eileen Fisher's recent posting on Elijah List in which our Father told her He is getting ready to part the Red Sea again... How about Bill Yount's recent vision of the cracked vase that was filled with God's healing oil which, once opened and \"the the oil started pouring out... The oil never stopped, it just continued to flow out upon the earth, moving from city to city, nation to nation. Then the Lord spoke to me and said, \"I don't throw away, I salvage. I am opening the vase of salvaged oil (restoration) over My people in this hour. I am the God of restoration.\"

In times like these it is good to get Gods perspective, I don't think He is worried. Keep up the good work and strengthen yourself in the Lord. Blessings Jeff

I get the concept but I am curious how the church in your story acted upon their belief? Sounds like they did nothing, didn't even mention it after that and it just kinda happened. Of course, God made it happen I am not contesting that but other than you and the pastor amen-ing a year before, where was the acting upon belief. I am trying to implement this into my life but I need to bridge the gap. Don't get me wrong I am not a doubter, I just want some clarification of how this works. jeff

These are definitely days to listen closely and look intently and expectantly for the Lord to reveal to us His heart and His strategies that will lead us into triumph. When I listen too much to the news and not the Spirit, my faith waivers. These are days to have our eyes fixed upon Jesus, the AUTHOR and FINISHER of our Faith. Thanks for your encouraging word Michael.

As I begin a new week, I caught up on your last few posts and I say YES! AMEN! What a wonderfully fresh breeze on my face and in my spirit. I believe it. After all, we are a royal priesthood, a peculiar people, chosen to live in these times to be light and salt. Thanks for a great word.

Amen.......... Amen ........... YES AND AMEN!!!!!! Thank you Michael, I desire that Christian businessmen and women would have the eyes to see like Elijah saw in a time of heavy drought (1Kings 41-46), though the cloud was small he took action on a heavy downpour!! The question is will we react on what we see in the natural or what we see in how GREAT our God is. We are so quick to say we believe and that or God is the creator of all, but do we really believe? We often limit our thinking and beliefs by what we see in the natural, is not this same God the one we say is the creator of all, is He not the creator of Physics as we know it? do we not limit our think by what we see in the physical, yet was it He who defied physics when the seas parted, when the ax head floated, when He rose from the dead, are we ready to see Him defy Physics in our situations? Here is something to think about; How long did man walk on sand before he realized that it could be heated up and used for reading glasses? Are you looking for opportunities to make a difference, we must.

Hi Jeff; Good question! Sometimes the hardest work you will ever do is rest. Most of us when we are in a struggle of any kind, fret. But if God spoke a word to your heart about a positive outcome for example, it would up to us to receive and believe that word. That takes work sometimes simply because everything in the naturally observable circumstances points to a different outcome. When the pastor spoke that word a few weeks before the one year anniversary, I knew that I knew that it would happen. So did he. And I am quite sure many others felt that way too, but it was never brought up again in my hearing. What did happen of course, is that many people who believed that God was in that statement, prayed about what their role should be. Clearly, a number of folks gave big, much bigger in fact than normal. But this giving was not out of coercian or manipulation or pressure of any kind from the pastor or leadership. There was no thermometer or commitment drive. There was simply the statement that popped out of his sermon which was on another topic, that he believed the building was going to be paid off on the one year anniversary. A lot of us hearing that, really believed it was so and I suspect those of us who believed that, dug deep and brought a big check on that date, but it was a response to what we believed God was doing. None of us knew what anyone else was doing and none of us could have retired the debt. I have had this happen a number of times in my life, where God has spoken something to my heart that would require a miracle to fulfill. The times I am thinking of, I believed firmly that it would come to pass. And it always has. Other times, when I was doubtful or unsure, nothing seems to happen like that. For me personally, and I am being vulnerable here... If I read a promise in the Scripture such as My God shall supply are your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus, while I believe that to be true, I often have a difficult time bringing that promise into the present moment and seeing it fulfilled. On the other hand, when in my quiet times with Him, He directs me to a Scripture or simply speaks something to my heart in a way that I know I just heard a real, present word from God, I am able to receive and believe in an unshakeable way. As a result, I have seen on at least three occasions, people given less than 24 hours to live, fully recover in that same time period. I have seen stunning financial breakthroughs and salvations. I have heard God tell me that a man whom I knew not other than a single business conversation over the phone, would in our next phone call invite my wife and I to spend Christmas with him and his wife in their second home in Mexico. I knew this would happen and I knew because God told me, that on Christmas day, this man and his wife would receive Christ as Savior on December 25th. It happened as it was told to me in advance. When I hear those present (now) words from the Holy Spirit my work or my necessary action is to receive them, to believe them and to act as though they were true. In the case I mentioned above, I told my wife that I thought some strangers were going to invites us to Mexico over Christmas and I told her why I thought this was going to happen. This gave her time to process and when the call came, it was easy to accept the invitation that I knew was coming. Our work was to believe and to act like we believed. One without the other will have no effect. Going back to the church situation, our role as to be believe and to act like we believed. That meant we were to be in peace about the building actually being paid off, trusting that God would speak to hearts and no one else had to force or manipulate. Then we who believed had to act, each according to his or her ability. Hope that helps! Blessings, Michael
