Hey Four Eyes... Can You See This?
By
February 16, 2009"That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, would give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened, that you may know..." Ephesians 1:17-18 Our alarm was set for 5:50 AM this morning so we would be sure to have sufficient time to seek His face. It has never been more important than now to cultivate a hearing ear and a seeing eye that we may know what the Spirit is saying in the hour in which we live. We are also preparing to spend three days in the rainforest beginning Friday with a very special group of leaders from among the readers of this email. We are going to see and experience the ways of God in nature so we can represent them well in business. (God's ways are transcendent.) As happens so frequently, we were awake long before the alarm and at 4:50 this morning I was off to fix a triple cappuccino for my wife and I. God had given us a bonus hour and I wanted to be fully awake, not missing anything. As I stood in front of our sliding glass doors looking out to the woods behind our home, I wondered why I was doing that. There was no star light. No moonlight. It was overcast. It was pitch black. I couldn't see anything... with my natural eyes. But God has given us all two sets of eyes. Yes, we have four eyes. We are well trained in seeing with our physical eyes but few of us recognize or even know that we have a second set of eyes. This is not a metaphor. It is a fact. Paul even prays, as should we, that the eyes of our understanding would be enlightened. What is he talking about? Is this some form of fiction? Certainly not. What I saw in the Spirit this morning was more than my cup could hold. It was absolutely overflowing. In the coming days, I will do my best to pass on portions of it and pray that your eyes would be enlightened to see what I saw. For now I want you to understand one thing... "The eyes of your understanding" can well be translated, "the eyes of your imagination". Close your eyes and see... See yourself walking in health. Use your second set of eyes to see what can be, what could be, what should be, what in fact is there for you, waiting in the wings for you to see and to summons to the present moment. I will expand on this tomorrow. Start seeing now.

Amen, Michael!
You're right on target. The Lord has been reminding me these past few days to ask Him to open the eyes of my heart; to see things as He sees them So that I can put action to my faith and go when He says Go. Our discernment in this time has to be such that we are ready to go in the moment when He calls, by sitting still before Him in quiet times and listening for His voice. We can not allow distractions of any size to blockade us from entering into His presence daily.
How desperate are we for Him?
What is there in this life that's worth more than knowing Him?
Pastor David Jeremiah has been preaching an amazing sermon on the book of Daniel that supports what you're sharing this morning.

I am Blessed and can relate to most of your articles. The Holy Spirit has fed a lot to me concerning how to handle my real estate business. I seek the Holy Spirit before I make any moves. The Holy Spirit is such a great teacher, instructor, counselor and keeps me in righteousness. I just wanted to add that 5 a.m. is the Grace hour and God gives out his instructions for the day when you meet him at this hour. I wake up prior so I can praise and worship or just be quiet and wait on him.
Grace is so amazing it makes everything feel effortless, yet teaching us to war for the things that already belong to the Kingdom.
May God's face shine upon you and your family today. Jolene B

I love this and I love you!
This had me running to my Journal to find when this very thing was said to me. On April 30th 2008 I heard very clearly in the wee hrs of the morning when I receive what I refer to as my \"morning kisses\" from the Holy Spirit...\"Close your eyes to see.\" And then I saw a very large flying white horse crash onto the roof of my home and allowing a whole lot of water to pour in...a waterfall!
I received Rainforest Strategies the other day and I cannot wait to devour it...yum!
Also, e-mailed Gamboa Resort for more info and as the Lord provides I'm sure I'll come for one of your Sessions. Thank you.
May God's Grace be on you and all you love,
Vilma...the one whom Jesus Loves!
PS: Hey- if John can say it, so can I!!

Just to let you know when you are down south in the rain forest, that across the pond in Trinidad, there is actually a real 4 eyed fish --two eyes look up (!) and two down --I don't know if this fish is anywhere else in the world. However, I always marveled at God showing us that what we see in reality, HE has also given us eyes to see in the Spirit --good for you Micheal --thank you and God bless

Hello,
Do you do trips to the rainforest often? I have been extremely drawn to your teachings on the Rainforest, but am yet to get the CD set. I bought the book, but then the Lord told me to give it to a friend. Anyways, just wanted to know if you have an itinerary or something of the sort. I am a 30 year old architect pursuing my lisencure in Miami, Florida.
I was really touched by today's blog. Not sure why, I guess I identify with what you said greatly about wanting to hear the Lord. It's been hard between so many ministerial duties (young adults ministry), work at the firm, studying for license exams, etc. I really want to know more about the Rainforest stuff and am blessed by your genuine love for the Lord.
Many blessings.

Inventing a renewed business climate is going to take the eyes of imagination. The faith to invest in a better future. I really liked this article, I felt less alone.
The arrogance of unending debt leverage is humbled. So, now the first steps of the wiser economy must be stategically taken. It will have to work well enough to pay back the government bail outs. And, it must work well enough to recover the lost courage and responibilty we have always needed.
Value creation is unseen with the human eye. Inventory and compensation move because of the created value. For it is valueless assets that have hurt us all. This is a better than average time for entrepreneurship or second business unit, intrapreneurship to create new value. To have the faith to invest.
Thanks for the encouraging words.

Thank you Michael, for a wonderful word, after reading it I heard in my spirit the battle him of the republic,\"My eyes have seen the Glory of the coming of the Lord\" as Gods children, we are enlightenend to see,( if we allow) the things of the spirit,to walk in the Kingdom, and see the glory of God manifest in the earth!............\"Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven! \" God Bless you, Michael Frank Russo

Fabulous!! I love the \"four eyes\" visual. As kids we used this phrase as a put down, but it is most definitely a blessing today! Thank God I have \"four eyes\". I plan to close my eyes and see today!!

Michael,
Thanks for beginning the teaching on the imagination, it is a great need in the church.
Much of the church has been mislead by being told it is a \"new age\" thing to visualize or to see what the LORD has said.
Look what Moses did;
Heb 11:27 By faith he (Moses) forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.
I look forward to the rest of the teaching,

Mike, I've been meaning to write you for some time and tell you how much your writings have blessed me. Thank you. Since God restored my heart in 2003 He has consistently provided mentoring for me through wise men. I can always tell because the situations I face and the words He brings up will begin to flow to me through certain sources. God has been using you to reach me in very specific, and mighty ways. I eagerly await your next installment. In 2003 I prayed about my finances and instead God promised me clear vision. Then He gave me 20/20 vision. Now a man of God and business is speaking of vision. Coincidence? I think not.
