$650 Billion Bailout for Small Business Owners - Part 1

Our country is experiencing an economic hurricane, but God is Lord of the wind too.  Eric Beck has a profound understanding of our times and he knows what to do. I've asked him to guest host this week and pass on his highly relevant insights. Please share these with your friends... That's right. It's out there! Not on the news per se but it's there. In this 3 part blog I'll show you the surprising location it resides in and how you can get it. But first we need some background. As you know the economy is not doing well and that's really no surprise. How did we ever expect a system running on the "mutual pursuit of self interest" and perpetual debt to ever work? We'll we've been sold down the river on this and the world's most sophisticated companies are dropping like the last few dried leaves of fall. Here's my point: If you think waiting for the economy to come around is a good strategy for your business...you're in la-la land. Consider this... If the most powerful, well-informed companies in the history of the world are failing...what makes you think you can survive in the same game? If you can't run with the footmen, what will you do when the horsemen come? The New York Times' Matt Richtel said this year, "...Fractured attention comes at a cost. In the United States, more than $650 billion a year in productivity is lost because of unnecessary interruptions, predominately mundane matters, according to Basex. The firm says that a big chunk of that cost comes from the time it takes people to recover from an interruption and get back to work." Did you hear that? If you haven't read Michael's book on the Rainforest Strategy you probably don't know what a "no pest zone" is, but you should. Clearly many do not and are dying because of it. For now, let me give you the first bit of help in this otherwise dreary situation: Every person can rise to the near miraculous when there are no pests, no interruptions. But keeping the pests away requires a tool that's up to the task. It also requires a change in thinking. Michael will tell you about the tool part below. Here's the thinking part: Remember when Jesus marveled and said about the Centurion, "I've not seen such great faith in all of Israel!" What did the Centurion do to evoke this absolutely unique response? Well apparently he simply understood authority - the authority of "authorized work". He understood the power of doing ONLY what one was authorized to do. In my next post, I'll show you what hides your "authorized work" from you and how you can save your business. I have asked Eric to expand on his ideas in a free webinar next week. He has graciously agreed to offer two time slots (Tuesday and Wednesday) for those who run businesses or non-profits and one on Friday for everyone else. As always, we have limited slots which is why we've booked three different times. Click here to register now.

Wonderful insight, Eric, Thanks for your work. As to \"the most powerful, well-informed companies' biting the dust, my experience has indicated that many of those 'powerful, well-informed' are indeed well-informed. They may even have the most effectively lethal (but legal) information-gathering system in their entire industry. They have all the info needed under their corporate umbella, but I have watched them die (go bankrupt) in amazement simpley because top management does not have a SYSTEM of REGULARLY informing themselves of that information. In other words, if they would have only informed themselves, they would have seen their 'Pathogen problem'(Borrowing a metaphore from Michael's terrific Rainforest Strategy) taking root in their receivables--or whevever else in the company was being eaten from the inside--or outside. I also enjoy your \"authorized work\" concept, Eric. Excellent! Best regards, Steve

Noon Eastern time is 2:30am where I am. If you can schedule a repeat at say, 4:00pm Eastern, (or even a bit later!) that'd work better. Thanks

The New York Times had it right whan they talk about fractured attention being a major cause of loss in productivity - How many times have we ourselves stopped working to discuss some event of the day at the water cooler with our co-workers? The time taken to dissect the event and get back to work really cuts into your work! Thanks for pointing that out! You have it right when you talk about 'Mutual self interest and perpetual debt' never working! When these are the foundations you build youir edifice on, no amount of information that you have is going to prevent the structure from collapsing when the bubble bursts ... Like Bob Marley said \"You can fool some people some time, but you can't fool all the people all the time....\"

Eric and Michael, Thank you for clarifying and confirming that our economic system runs on \"mutual pursuit of self interest and perpetual debt\". God has been revealing this truth to me over the past two years. But now you have clarified and confirmed for me that our ecomomy is actually driven by mutually agreed upon greedy self interest. Correct me if I am wrong but it seems to me that \"mutual greedy self interest \" is at the heart of Adam Smith' s free marke economy that he described in his epic and highly influencial treatise entiled \"The Wealth of Nations\". And it seems that many of us (not all) have fallen prey to the devil' s enticements to use credit cards to buy things mostly that we really don' t need so that we become enslaved in perpetual insurmountable debt. The \"mutuality' aspect of this situation may equate to our agreement to receive the \"mark of the beast\" which I see as the devil' s trademark that identifies his evil works of selfishness, greed, envy, deception, lust of the flesh, enticements, manipulation and all otherworks of the devil that have corrupted our socio-economic life. The book of revelation curiously depicts that in the satanic Babylonian economy people who refuse to receive the mark of the beast cannot participate in the Babylonian market place of buying and selling dainty and other unneeded goods and services such as the Babylonian garment than Achan was enticed to take in, as I recall, the battle of Ai in the Old Testament. True to Babylonian market place form, it seems the auto industry is collapsing because it was focused on producing and manipulatively marketing gas guzzling sports vehicles that people did not need and could not afford to buy. General Motors paid Tiger Woods $7 mil to entice people to buy a Buick when we all know Tiger does not drive a Buick. With regard to perpetual enslavement to debt, I find it most interesting and instructive that God' s righteous Jubilee kingdom laws require that all debts be totally released every seven years and every fifty years. In view of these righteous laws of God that have never been changed or rescinded, the 30-year mortgage note is \"unconscionable\" because it heavily favors the lender over the borrower. Three years ago I thought I was being smart to refinance my first mortgage (30-year note) to pay off my credit card debt. But now I realize that all I did was consolidate my irritating and overwhelming monthy credit card debt into one back-breaking monthly payment that I don' t have enough monthly income to pay along with my other overly inflated monthly living expenses. However, the company though which I was able to refinance, Ameriquest Mortgage, fabricated and inflated my monthly income and the value of my home to mislead the lending market into believing my mortgage loan was \"prime\" was in fact was it was \"subprime\". The fact that Ameriquest has been put out of business reflects, I truly believe, the work of Jesus to destroy the works of the devil. In fact I see this whole mortgage banking crisis as the work of Jesus to destroy the works of the devil. There is much more I can write allong these lines but that' s enough for now. So, I close with a note of faith hope that though it all God is working for our good and for the good of his people who love him. In the words of the Babylonian market place, \"You can take that to the bank!\" But I mean the spiritual bank that contains all of God' s riches in glory.
