Have Things Stalled Lately?

December 2, 2008Have you ever tried to swim against a riptide? You are being sucked out to sea by a force so large you can't even see it. Your very life is at stake. The whole ocean it seems is working against you, drawing you out to the deep where your cries for help cannot be heard. And because you don't know better, you swim against the tide toward the shore. You know you are moving. You know you are working very hard, but you don't understand why you're either losing ground or if you are very strong, you are merely maintaining your distance from the shore. And you are growing weaker. I can describe this scene in frightening detail because before I knew what a riptide was, I was once its hostage. That analogy comes to mind today when I think of so many folks I know who are working as hard or harder than ever, but are making little or no progress. When they take even the smallest break, they find themselves further behind and things begin to look a little bleak - Perhaps worse. I believe it has everything to do with the fact that things have changed. There has been a very real shift in our economy and the forces that guide it. Doing what you've always done may feel productive but produces very little. You, my friend, have got to change. And I am breathtakingly close to introducing you to a coaching program that will help you transition into the new economy, where your efforts are rewarded and your sacrifice is not in vain. I am hoping to launch it on December 15th. In the meantime, if you would like to get some great examples of leaders who mastered changing times and left a legacy in the Christian community, we have 8 copies left of Profiles of Success with contributions from John Maxwell, Zig Ziglar, Larry Burkett, Bob Harrison, Dick DeVos and some fella named Michael Q. Pink along with others. We also have just 20 copies left of Christian Business Legends, many of whom changed the landscape of American commerce. Maybe you recognize some of their names...William Colgate, DL Moody, Mary Kay Ash, Booker T. Washington, JC Penny, Henry Parsons Crowell (Quaker Oats), RG LeTourneau, Asa Candler (Coca Cola founder). What they all had in common was a passion for the lost and a zeal for business. They are on sale now for about 60% off, but the sale ends forever December 12th. We will not be restocking them. Get them here while they last.

hello everyone,
wanted to share a verse a friend shared with me that I'd never seen before which has blessed and helped me in the current environment:
\"He who watches the wind will not sow and he who looks at the clouds will not reap.\"
Ecclesiastes 11:4
To me, this says, despite what's going on, don't look at the storm. Continue to believe God and do what you know He says, He will honor His Word.
Bless you all,
Dennis
