Get Ready – The R.A.I.N. is Coming…

“In the world you will have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33) If you haven’t read the posts on yesterday’s blog, I recommend you do. It has to do with the trials we as the corporate body of Christ are walking through. I asked you to comment because the enemy of our soul wants us to feel alone… discouraged… fearful. Did I mention feeling very alone? Your comments put the enemy on the run! Here’s the deal… Jesus told us we would have tribulations. He also promised “he that overcomes shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.” In fact, read Revelation 2 and 3 again. He has much to say about those who overcome. And how could we overcome if there wasn’t something to overcome? This is the moment we are living in right now. This is our opportunity to overcome! Blessed be the name of the Lord forever! Make no mistake. Greater trials are ahead for the nations of the world and for us as a people. We are currently in the workout room. Tomorrow we head into battle. (This I say by way of comparison and not to minimize the reality of our current battle.) To win in the battle going forward, I believe we need to be joined with a network of like minded, like hearted individuals who understand the gravity of the hour, the ferocity of the battle and the seriousness of the stakes! Here is my commitment to you… In response to the hour we’re in, I am dedicating this next season of my life to pulling together just such a network of people. I will invest heavily of my heart, my time and my finances into raising up a network of people who are called to the battle in the marketplace. I will work full time on their behalf, researching, seeking God and distilling into relevant, actionable intelligence the information and wisdom we need to overcome in the days ahead. The investment on your part will be embarrassingly modest, but I cannot tread out the grain without eating a little along the way. It will be called the R.A.I.N. Report and it will be delivered to your door, not via email. It’s that important. (We will accommodate international subscribers via either a membership site or PDF delivery for the sake of speed and cost.) Those of you who have purchased the Rainforest Strategy book will get a 50% discount. (The book is foundational to concepts and content going forward.) Details will be following in the very near future. It is my honor to serve with you!

It seems the whole of the last 7 or 8 very difficult years have been in preparation for NOW. I, who had almost lost heart, have recently felt a change in the wind, just in the last two weeks and in spite of the goliath I have to face in business, it now seems possible. I don't know how, but it will happen and the many 'Josephs' out there who have been through similar experiences are going to make progress now too. Does that make sense to anyone else? The fear that assailed me daily, because I had made myself so vulnerable, has been extinguised like a candle flame and I am so grateful to God for that - it has filled me with joy and we will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

Hello Michael, I enjoyed reading your blog from yesterday and was planning on commenting then. You're wise in your decision to network and I see this as the leading of the Holy Spirit. I have a small network and the way that the Holy Spirit has moved in this kind of ministry has allowed me to learn of the ways that God will move in His body corporately. There have been many times that I've been faced with circumstances or decisions that I didn't feel that I had the discernment I needed to make wise choices. Anytime and everytime I find myself facing these circumstances, the Holy Spirit will always move on me to connect with a member of the body or either a group/ministry for one purpose or another. He's very faithful to move through that act of obedience and always gives me full discernment as to the choices that I need to make. The relationships that develop have always broadened my perception and understanding of Christ in His body. There is tremendous revelation and discernment that we receive of as we're simply aligned just to see the works of Jesus in His body. The most dominant characteristic that I witness over and over is how networking brings us to form one body or \"one man\" for one purpose. God will always faithfully move to pour counsel through throse who gather. This is our equipping of faith and weapons to war against what would otherwise come against us. Thanks for \"calling\". Blessings, Cindy Allen

Thank you once again, Michael, for your servant's heart and your giving of yourself for the body of Christ. This RAIN report is a great idea; I can hardly wait! The Lord willing, I'm getting ready to retire at 62 (another year and a half), but because I find that my relationship with the Lord has suffered because of my working full time, etc. I've chosen to retire early. In the past year my thoughts have vacilated between working longer to get more monthly money and find excuses for working longer. But my spirit desires the better part: to spend more quality time with my Savior. Just two days ago I turned on the Christian station and started to hear this person talk about intimacy that God desires from us and how the present world system is going -- going towards a one-world system which has been in the works for years now. I was crying because I felt the Spirit of God confirming in me that I should retire early, therefore, faith rising up in me to TRUST God for my provision completely. In view of the economic collapses, by His grace, I have not entered into fear of the future. Not only that but I have this sense and peace in my heart that the Lord is going to give me a business after I retire. My husband was laid off and has since retired (May 2008) and I've thought of asking him to consider not giving one of the offerings at church so we can have extra money, but every time I think of that I feel that we shouldn't because as we continue to give God is somehow going to bless us. By His grace, we continue to give to missions, special offerings, and this other monthly offering to our church, besides our tithes. Giving certainly cannot hurt us. I write all this as I feel it will speak to someone out there. We need to put our complete trust in the One who promises NEVER to leave us nor forsake us, for we will not be found begging for bread. God bless you all!

Hi Michael. It's been months since I have commented on this blog. To catch up from yesterday and today; I too have been under spiritual attack but not just recently. It started for me along time ago when I stepped out of my comfort zone and ran for the US Congress and the Wisconsin State Senate in 1996 and 1997 respectively. Since that time my family has undergone a season of extreme poverty, attacks on my reputation, false accusations from a friend and my pastor, two business failures, child #5 had severe health issues requiring therapy and rehabilitation, shut out from promotions and recently experienced the death of parents. Just the other day one car was broken into and a screw driver broken off in the ignition and on the way to get a new part, the family mini-van transmission goes out 20 minutes from the discovery of the attempted car theft. Do you think God our Father is up to something? Now through it all I have had a feeling deep within my guts that I was being groomed by God for some future event. Accept I don’t know when, it may come soon or it may not. It might be really a small thing or a real big thing it doesn't matter. For many years I have gone to sleep every night and eat every meal in prayer saying thank you Father for the training by trial, thank you Father for our daily bread and thank you Father for giving us the ability to trust you in the face of all the troubles. Dispite all the problems, God has graciously blessed me with excellent health, a lovely and good wife, six wonderful children who also love God and now 10 grandchildren. I am truly a rich man. I already have the Rainforest series and ready to build a network with you Michael. May God Bless you and all your readers

I can identify with Michael S. and Joseph, but this attack spans decades of false accusations, extensive (and multiple) events of unemployment and then when employed, fighting to get paid the agreed upon sum. I know God is faithful but the prolonged attacks take their toll. It's good to be reminded we're not alone and everyone is enduring some level of pain in one or more areas of their lives. You can look into the eyes of other people in the workplace and at church to see that. Thank you for your continued messages that hit the nail on the head every day. God's blessings....

Hello all, As we all can see, what can be shaken is being shaken, so that what cannot be shaken remains (I know, I'm the master of the obvious!). At the same time, I listened last night to part of a message by John Paul Jackson on Storms and the Miraculous and it truly encouraged me. I'm posting it here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DU_RxofhMnU&feature=related This is part 3 of 4. Basically, he says that the depth of our valley prophesies the height of the mountain that we will be at. God is truly preparing each of us to reign and rule with Him. I was rebuked in a good way (is there a bad way?) about the wimpy-ness of my faith, attitude and the vigor with which I fight and pray; not in the flesh but by the Spirit. We will overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony and by not loving our lives unto death (Rev 12:10). That is a past tense statement, looking at people who overcame and how they did it. Personally I've been out of work since early September. I've been doing some work on my own, and doors have opened up for me to do business. As Michael has said in so many words, at the darkest hour, the light shines. Here's also a quote from Peter Drucker, a famous management consultant who also happened to be a devout Christian. He greatly influenced Jack Welch of GE as well as Jim Collins (Good to Great), and others: \"Results are achieved by exploiting opportunities not solving problems. Solving problems can only return the organization to its prior status quo. To achieve results managers must exploit opportunities. However, in most organizations, its best people spend too much time putting out fires rather than searching for new opportunities than can become tomorrow’s cash cows.\" Finally, we WILL reap a harvest IF we do not give up. DO NOT GIVE UP! (I'm saying this more to myself than anyone). Blessings, Dennis

Yesterday I attended a luncheon in Pt. St. Lucie in which Dr.Myles Munroe spoke. To deal with the times in which we now find ourselves, Dr. Munroe suggested that we ask ourselves what Jesus asked his disciples when they were concerned about feeding the 5000. Jesus asked them, \"What do you have to feed them? They said this little boy has offered five loaves and two fishes. Jesus told them to use that to feed the 5000. What happened, I think, was that others were motivated by the boys attitude of sharing and they brought forth the food they had brought with them and offered to share it with others. Like the litttel boy, whose mother had probably given him more than enough food to last him for the time he was with Jesus away for his home, others likewise probably brought more than they needed. After everyone ate, there was a lot of food scraps and morsels left over. So Myles was wisely suggesting that we survey the resources and influence we now have and control and pool them and share them as needed. In so doing we will probably find we have more than enough to see us through these troubled times. Sharing and unselfishness are but two of the primary principles and aspects of the kingdom of God. Others are righteousess. peace and joy. David Thompson

mine is not a valley but the pig pen. I choose to walk away a year or two ago, being bitter at the Father for not healing my wife on my terms, still hasn't but not for me to use as an excuse. I am crawling on my knees through the mud of sin and decadence, alcohol and sex have been my addiction and my cause for loosing my home, my car, my income and possibly my sons. My bi-polar wife has an idea of how far i fell but still remains with me. I have reached out to the church over the past several months, but it always comes back with the same response....none. I even challenged a men's group at one of the local outreach churches...none. I know that I cannot stand alone, for I am weak. I know that with My GOD I will come thru, but I agree in you theory of a network of believers, but I am seeking that kind of support. Please follow the leading of the Spirit and do not hesitate. We need your help and I believe your guidance in these times of turmoil. Wayne Harris
