Unseen Riches Produce Tangible Riches

January 18, 2008"Thus says the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have held, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the armor of kings, to open before him the two-leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut; I will go before you, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of bronze, and cut asunder the bars of iron: And I will give you the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that I, the LORD, who call you by your name, am the God of Israel." (Isa 45:1-3) Did you know that God has riches hidden in secret places? And these are riches He is eager for you to possess. Am I saying that God wants you rich? I don't know what God wants for you with respect to tangible riches. I don't know your character, your calling or your capabilities. What I do know is that there are great riches hidden in secret places and the kind of riches I am speaking of cannot be seen with the eye. Take for example the rainforest. People with limited vision see only with their natural eye and cut it down to obtain temporal, tangible riches. They sell the timber and create pasture land for cows. But people with great vision who have spent time in the secret place of God know that God made the systems that make the rainforest the most productive and fruitful system on the planet producing tremendous abundance out of relative scarcity. In spending time with the Father, they learn the systems. They discover the ways of God. They obtain great wealth of wisdom as they inherit His heart for the created order and in the process they can be trusted with the power that wisdom gives them. It is the unseen riches that produce the visible riches. Most folks chase the visible, corruptible, temporal riches. Wise ones chase the unseen eternal riches and in apprehending them, have everything else they need.

For the past five years, your daily nuggets have blessed and encouraged me. During this same period I've also been enriched by Bob Sorge's \"Secrets of the Secret Place\" based on Psalm 91:1: He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide uder the shadow of the Almighty.\"
Michael, your thoughts are right in tune with the Father's heart. In the words of Floyd McClung, \"everything of God flows out of the secret place. Everything good and lasting---everything that survives the ultimate test is born in the secret place.\"
Thankyou for adding a new dimension to the pursuit of the rich treasures that are hidden in the Father's heart, secrets that he yearns to share with us as we spend quality time with the Lord.

Excellent perspective: seeing the deeper hidden (\"secret\") mysteries.
The \"riches in secret places\" may well be inside each of us, built in \"from before the foundations of the world\"... in the form of \"extraordinary favor\", giftedness, etc., as Sons. Accessing these secret riches depends on paying attention to our Mentor, the Holy Spirit, who guides us to maturity where we can handle the responsibilty of \"finding\", uncovering, these \"mysteries\". Note that, \"Those who are led by the Spirit are the Sons of God.\"
Secret riches, revealed and stewarded, can then lead to the \"treasures of darkness\", those things held by, and \"stored up\" in, the realm of the ungodly... by \"the unrighteous, stored up for the righteous.\"

AMEN! I am getting on this Prosperity wave and riding it out. I cannot tell you how much the lord has done for me. Yesterday I was offered the oppurtunity to build a new 6MM church and right now I am finishing another church right at 5MM.
Deut 28 11
The LORD will grant you abundant prosperity—in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground—in the land he swore to your forefathers to give you.
12 The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. 13 The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom. 14 Do not turn aside from any of the commands I give you today, to the right or to the left, following other gods and serving them.

I have been thinking a lot about this topic, and trying to write about it on my blog. My insight is that we get hung up on argument, when the pieces are in place to create. The unchurched would feel more of God's love from a solved problem than an argument won. My prime example of that is don't everyone argue about Creationism. Most of us should be out there in business, education, science, etc. creating solutions from our faith in Creation. In Genesis 1:20 when it says \"abundance of living creatures\", creatureS plural, He was speaking forth the concepts about fish, not just a fish. In John 1:3 when it says \"all things were made through Him\" all those things are everything that we would use in a product, process or service, and the concepts and knowledge about how they are strung together. In Revelation 10:6 He is still saying something about how He would like to be known. If that is a way He wants to be known (a pretty underserved market if you ask me) there is a lot to be said for getting busy in the marketplace and making Him known. As Creator, He wants us to be the most creative people on the earth.
