What God Owes You...
By
December 12, 2007Some of you will have noticed the lively discussion on this topic of Christian Wealth Building with Rich Church Poor Church author, John Muratori. Whenever we speak to this important topic, there are always folks concerned about bringing balance. While I agree that balance is important, does anyone know what balance is? An extremist I was told, is someone more zealous than you. It seems if someone is further than you down the continuum of any line of thought, they are considered out of balance. We don't balance the wealth message with a poverty message. You balance it with responsibility and generosity. Romans 11:35 asks, "...who has given to the Lord that He should repay them?" In other words we can not obligate God to give us anything. He owes us nothing. Having said that, He promises us much. Some folks dwell on the truth that Jesus promised, "In this world, you will have tribulation..." and Paul adds in a letter to Timothy that if you, "...live Godly in Christ Jesus, you will suffer persecution." And frankly there is plenty of tribulation and persecution to go round just for teaching a balanced word on this subject. Wealth, if it is only about heaping treasures upon yourself, is misspent and empty. I am not espousing that. I am encouraging you all to get beyond the "self focus" being warned about, and get Christ-focused and carry his concern for the culture and then make as much money as you can and use it for the extension of His kingdom. That may include building a church in Haiti or it may include buying the local radio station and controlling the airwaves in your town. On Friday, we are sending out our offer again for the Christian Wealth Building series with Rich Church Poor Church author, John Muratori to 135,000 folks. In it, we're reminding them that the first 500 folks to order the audio seminar will also receive copy of his 300-plus page book absolutely FREE. By the way, we are already down to fewer than 300 so I suggest you act now if you want something to energize the upcoming year and revolutionize your thinking about wealth creation.

Balance? Balancing the message of prosperity requires a 'center point' from which we can evenly hang the weight of what we are hearing. Since we have not fully 'heard' the full revelation on this subject there is no way to determine the 'center point'! The revelation of prosperity like the revelation of salvation, healing, deliverance, or any other spiritual subject that has the eternity of God in it will always seem disproportionate. That is why you see references in scriptures to our human inability to grasp fully the glory and wisdom of God, i.e., \"Eye has not seen, ear has not heard...\" \"exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think...\" \"see if I will not open the windows of heaven and pour out... that there shall not be room enough to receive\".
Just wait and see the magnitude of the next season of revelation that is coming on Biblical prosperity! It is going to look like a Tsunami in comparative to the waves of revelation that have waked over the Church since the 70's when we began to catch our first glimpses of prosperity revelations. One revelation that is going to explode in our Christian businessmen is going to based in how God blessed Solomon with the Spirit of Wisdom so that world leaders like the 'Queen of the South' were drawn to him and laid billions of dollars at his feet just hear how to solve crushing economic and social problems??? That receiving and dispensing Godly wisdom in a \"marketplace ministry\" and environment is nothing new at all from Solomon's perspective! See! The 'center point' just moved on us again! Some thought 'marketplace anointings' was a new fad in the Church!
We need to realize how much more there is while at the same time understanding that we still have not yet appropriated all that has been revealed already.

There have been seversal prophesies about me that concern wealth, business and finances. I operate in the 90%? 10% (reverse of the traditional) tithe/offering bracket. I beleive that God uses business as his supply line. Not only as finciancial but as other sources as well

Michael,
Very good points. We don’t balance the wealth message with a poverty message. You balance it with responsibility and generosity.
I would just add \"If you cannot be trusted with little things, worldly wealth, he cannot trust you with true riches.
The only thing God owes us is hell and damnation. Anything above that is from his grace and mercy.
May we all seek the true riches.
In Him,
Kern

Thank you for this message, Michael. I asked my husband for the Rain Catcher series for my birthday, which is tomorrow Thursday. The thing that attracted me so much to that series is where God spoke to you saying, \"pursue me\" and you did and through this you were given much revelation! When our hearts are right with God, and close to Him, our mind, thoughts, desires, and heart will be aligned with His will, which includes NOT forgetting the poor, prisoners, widows and orphans. As long as we keep Jesus always as our focus and our hearts close to Him seeking His kingdom and His righteousness, then all the other things will be add-ons. I've seen generous people in my church with businesses that tithe way above the 10% and the Lord is always abundantly blessing them. I've seen indebted people get out of debt in no time because they have put their agendas down and followed His guidance and have been prospered, not only spiritually but economically. In my own life God has blessed tremendously, and I KNOW that I KNOW that He wants to bless others through my future business (and I am speaking in faith) because He has put that in my heart. Although it hasn't come to pass I cannot be indifferent to that business calling in this late season of my life because I KNOW it's from Him. In reading Scripture one morning the Lord confirmed that calling and even gave me ideas for the business. How great is that from a God who owns all the cattle on a thousand hills? If we would pursue God more and really trust Him to move in our lives He would do wonders not only for us but for many within our realm of influence. I want to do things for His kingdom because it pleases Him, and not only that it brings joy unspeakable to my heart to see others blessed, even through insignificant me. If this is what a Sovereign God has for me to do, then I accept it and receive it. Do I think it will always be smooth riding? No, but I want to do His will. Let's just seek Him fervently -- we are His chosen; let Him do His agenda through us, even if it means handling a prosperous business. God bless you all!

I used to get hung up on the wealth verses poverty issue from a Biblical point of veiw. I have taken the time to study the Bible. We are promised many things and along with those promises come responsibilities and consequences. The Bible is a great guide for everday of our life and is as applicable today as when it was first written. To whom much is given much MORE is required. Stewardship is something God pays very close attention to I can attest to that. The good and the bad. God gave us the tools and he also gave us the power of CHOICE. The wealthy who are not Christian understand the principal of giving back they understanding the rippling effect and the return. CS Lewis said it best we are too easily satisified we fall way short of our potential. We may have all the tools, teaching, training, etc. if we don't do what God designed us to do who do we blame.
It is not about the wealth it is about what you do with it.

Wow and thank you is all that I can say. Since I have been recieving these messages, it has become easier to live out Jesus Christ in my work environment.
The Rich Church Poor Church series has also opened so much for me and has made me to fully understand the scripture that says the wealth of the wicked is layed out for the just.
May you and team be blessed beyond words and may God keep the heavenlies open above you so that there may not be room enough to contain His blessings so that His glory may be seen.
