"Thus says the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have held, to subdue nations before him; and I will (1) loose the armor of kings,(2) to open before him the two-leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut; (3) I will go before you, and (4) make the crooked places straight: (5) I will break in pieces the gates of bronze, and (6) cut asunder the bars of iron: And (7) I will give you the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that I, the LORD, who call you by your name, am the God of Israel." (Isa 45:1-3) In my last blog on this series of sons in the marketplace, I asked what it will look like to see a corporate body of sons rising in the marketplace. And while that answer may well be as diverse as there are sons arising, I would like us to look at Cyrus as a possible model. Cyrus, the Persian king, was not a Hebrew. He did study Isaiah and knew the Scripture spoke of him and most agree he is a type of Christ or anyone who is anointed of God. My premise is that most of us, like Cyrus, were heathens who God sovereignly chose and anointed for His purposes. I want to look at the seven things God promises Cyrus that may well serve as types or models for the kind of things He will do for His sons. As I have already stated, God promised to go before Cyrus and in doing so, He did seven things to help Cyrus fulfill His purpose. Note that God goes before you when He sends you. Secondly, God said He would loose the armor of kings, or loose the loins of kings. The loins were protected with a girdle of sorts which, when fastened, was a symbol of strength and preparedness for action. The promise to Cyrus was that God would undue their strength. There is territory you are called to take and it is guarded by men of strength and position and they are ready to defeat you. However, when God calls you to take an account, a city or region, He will go before you and undue their strength, weaken their resistance, soften their resolve. You might find favor with great men that ordinarily was not available. The resistance you face might be offered by a prospect or a competitor. No matter. God makes a way for His anointed, His sons, by loosing their armor and weakening their resolve. But you will never know unless you go forth to conquer. To be continued...

FATHER, I am so grateful for the utterances of those who help me along YOUR path. Thank YOU for using YOUR people to continue to speak YOUR truths, through a words pointing us back to YOU. Thank you, Michael Pink, for continuing to light a path, which has been laid out by HIM. May HE bless you and guide you as you walk your path, leading others! Blessings from the desert! Kara PS HIS going before me today is good. I am headed to speak on abstinence until marriage in a community with a abnormally high HIV rate among my teens.

Hey Mike, Thanks again for the metaphors and word pictures, concerning the LORD going before us in order to make a way HIS way, is a great opportunity to listen to what He would have us to do. Bravo! Now that's confidence in the marketplace... if God be for us, who can be against us? Nuff said. :-) Cheers

GOD GOING BEFORE ME. NOT A NEW CONCEPT. HE HAS BEEN DOING THIS EVER SINCE ADAM AND EVE. HE WENT BEFORE CAIN TO ASSURE HIS SAFTEY WHEN CAIN WAS DRIVEN FROM HIS PRESENCE AFTER KILLING HIS BROTHER ABEL. WE JUST NEED TO GRAB THE CONCEPT FOR OURSELVES AND RUN WITH IT. GOD HAS ALREADY MADE THE WAY. THANK YOU JESUS!

I find this extremely interesting at this point in my life. I found out within the last 30 days that I am included in a lay off. I didn't see it coming however, the Lord reminded the day before I received the news that nothing catches Him by surprise, so when I walked in that Friday morning and received my packet I had a measure of peace that others did not have. I am now looking for a new job in the marketplace and wondering if my territory is to be enlarged. I believe all of this is no accident and I am excited to see what God will do in my life and the lives of my family through this experience.

Thanks so much so such powerful message. God placed me in a job a year ago. Today I am no longer working for that company, instead I am offering my services to them (no longer my employer now my client). It all started with a miracle but of course there are some giants standing in the way. After reading your message I have been reasured that the battle is not mine it belongs to the Lord. WOW! I don't have to fight, fuss or worry.
