Develop an Abundant Mind - Part 8 of 8

May 9, 2007The keys to developing an abundant mindset are found in Phil 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things"
If there be any praise… If it is worthy of praise, it is worthy of consideration. Don’t be miserly with your praise. Be generous with it. Look for opportunities today to offer well deserved praise. Part of an abundant mindset is the ability to think of, look for and offer praise to the deserving. A person who is cheap with their praise will be cheap with other things, including their money. A person who is cheap with their money has a poverty mindset. Let not that person think they will prosper by God’s hand.
Today, be generous with your praise. It releases other forms of generosity and before you know it, you have developed an abundant mindset. An abundant mindset always attracts whatever is needed to accomplish the excellent thing God has given you to do. An abundant mindset has no fear of lack, but if you can’t even afford to dish out some praise, you have a serious problem. The remedy is simple, however; just think on anything praiseworthy and where possible, pass on that word of praise, encouragement and strengthen someone else in the process. Got praise? Give it away today.
