Share Your Passion in a Searching Marketplace
By
December 5, 2006The apostle Paul exhorts us to walk worthy of the vocation wherewith we were called. Did you know that being called into the marketplace was a worthy vocation where you are more likely to reach people than at church on Sunday? Most of them are not planning on being in church on Sunday to hear the good news, so how do we reach them?
Evangelism is simply a transference of passion; a passion for Jesus. Do you have that passion? If you don’t, you might need to pursue Him for awhile, before you pursue others. Assuming you have that passion, look to see where God is working and join Him. By that I mean, look for those who are looking for love in all the wrong places. Look for those whose life is not making sense to them right now. Look for those who are hurting, questioning, searching. They are everywhere. In fact, I am convinced that God is calling our generation back to Himself.
There is a restlessness in their hearts and they are searching for the Kingdom of God, but don’t know it. They are blind and need the benefit of your vision. They cannot find their way to you or to God. They hear Him calling, but cannot see Him. They are everywhere in the marketplace. Take your vocation as a calling and lead people to the One who restores sight and gives vision.
